Christmas Eve 2010

A bit of what we were up to the day before Christmas!
We have a few sets of Christmas jammies, so we had to start wearing them Christmas Eve Eve :)
Had to tell Ry to hold him tight!
Wait Nathan, come back!
Daddy made the boys a box tunnel for the livingroom!
It even had windows!
They had so much fun in it!
Stuck...
Nathan would throw toys in... Ryan would throw them out... Repeat!
Even Max got in on the fun!
Although his favorite place is the snowflake pillow :)
My boys :)
This is Nathan's "Mommy why won't you hold me!" face
Ryan was showing the camera the new car that Daddy brought him from Texas!
On our way to check out the base Christmas tree!
Stopped just long enough for a picture!
Nathan kept pointing to the twinkling lights - he loved it!
Ryan was pretty excited too :)
SO excited to open up Christmas Jammies!!
They were both really good about ripping into them :)

Hooray for Christmas Jammies!!

Hmm...

So apparently Nathan has been taking pointers from big brother because this morning as I was putting on my makeup, he comes in with a pair of Ryan's undies, sits on the stool and tries to put them on all by himself!
I had to help the poor kid because I knew the outcome would be hilarious!
Yes, he has learned how to close doors from the inside... oh boy!
What a goober!

Such a silly boy :)

New Daddy Quilts!

The Armed Forces YMCA has a group of quilters that volunteer their time to make photo quilts for children who have deployed parents... they are AWESOME!!
We got ours in the mail the other day! The boys weren't quite sure what to do with them at first...
But were SUPER excited to have their Daddy's picture all over their blankets!
Nathan's quilt
Ryan's quilt :)

Thank you "Operation Kid Comfort"!!!

Ry's Catalog!

Ryan's Combi Mini Catalog came out! He's on several pages and looks SO cute :) Click on the link below and scroll down a bit until you see the teal green catalog cover with the little boy wearing a fedora (says combi mini in pink down the side) and click on it... Ry's pictures start on page 21 and I think his last one is on the hat accessory page :) How fun!

Mochi Pounding Party!

The Japanese here on base hosted a Mochi Pounding party and this year I brought Ryan with me!
He had a ton of fun trying out the wooden toys... especially the spinning tops!
This man was writing "Snodgrass Family" in kanji!
It took some serious bribery, but I finally got Ryan to pound the mochi so I could get a picture!

Ryan and I with a couple japanese dancers after their performance

Us in front of a japanese 'good luck/fortune in the new year' arrangement :)

The finished product!

The Rest of November :)

Get ready for a super long post, but this is everything I forgot to post this month! It's been a crazy one!
The boys LOVE to swing so this park is a favorite!
Whee!!
This kid has so much daredevil in him, I can't let him out of my sight at times!
Went to the field with Daddy to play some soccer since it was so gorgeous outside!
Can you spot runaway Nathan?? Hint: he's in between the 2 bicycles... second person from the left - goober... and he won't stop for anything either, you have to chase him down.. fast!
On the RUN!
Hanging out with Daddy at Starbucks :)
Nathan loves putting my shoes on and trying to walk around the house :)
He also likes sneaking Cooper a treat when he thinks I'm not looking!
This is the 'uh oh, Mommy caught us' look.
On our way to Fuji Safari Park!
Fading fast on the car ride there :)
Where's Nathan??
Peek-a-boo!
This random field made me feel like we were on the east coast again!
Fall colors!
Nathan checking out the kangaroo!
Sorry Roo... no food today!
Ryan got such a kick out of petting the kangaroos that were as tall as he was!
Family photo op!
Ryan pointing out the feeding bus that we were waiting to board!
Nathan ready to see some animals!
Again may I point out that this kid has no sense of fear! Yeah, that lioness was about 7-8 inches away... luckily separated by a bunch of metal! The purring was incredible though and we were able to feed them raw chicken (bones included) through the grating!
Tuckered out after a fun day!
We were a little late in carving Ryan's pumpkin this year :)
Mommy did all the work since Ry isn't one to get his hands sticky!
Finished product!
Fun at the park!
Two monkeys in a tunnel!
This is Nathan's favorite way to go down a slide - head first!
SO much fun to watch!
Finally has enough hair for a mohawk after bathtime!
Got some pictures of Guy and the boys in the gorgeous Fall leaves!
*sigh* this one is my favorite :)
Can't believe he's getting so big!
This is Ryan's "Oh no, Mommy caught me being mean to my brother because he's trying to play with my toys" look....

This is Nathan's "booya brother, I got it anyways!" look :)
